//Very confused here too... my take is... 2 inmates screwing aroung in jail while bunch cops surrounded them and things are under contol, then 1 of the inmates act up, a cop then tazed him. At the same time another fucking inmates tried to grap the cops gun but failed and ended up got shot by other cops??? WTF? I work around electricians all the time in power plants. Power plants, fortunately, have power everywhere. As for job sites with no power, how do you think carpenters power their tools?
They bring generators, or extra batteries. Battery technology has come a long way. We've got cars that can get 300 miles per charge. We can most certainly build robots that can last for hours. However, it's going to take a very long time for jobs such as landscaping to be taken over by machines.
At least 15 years, maybe even 30. That's not really very long, but that is only in leading industrialized nations. Countries with cheap labor will take much, much longer for remedial tasks to become automated, but even they will eventually face the same fate. //
